Website & SEO Inspection

Like a home inspection, a website inspection ensures your foundation is solid and protects your digital business.

You've built the website and now it's time to start driving traffic, get found in the search engines, and make sales! But before you can do any of that, it's important to make sure your website is built on a solid foundation.

You wouldn’t buy a home without getting a home inspection, you wouldn’t want to build your business on top of your website, without getting a website inspection to ensure the foundation is solid.

An inspection of your website allows us to identify potential issues that could be hindering its performance and lets you know where the current weak points are. If left undiscovered, small problems can slowly sabotage your search rankings, traffic numbers, and conversions — it's why many small business owners spend a lot of time on marketing but still don't see the results they want.

Maybe you’ve found yourself in the same boat?

You might have tried:

  • Hiring a web agency to redesign your website
  • Adding keywords to the website
  • Adding a bunch of blog posts to the website
  • Paid for some ads
  • Hiring someone to ‘do SEO‘ — whatever the heck that is!

But the leads are nowhere to be found, your website is lost in the depths of the results pages, and you're feeling as if the website was a waste of time and money.

You have a website, but no one is visiting

Time and time again, I have clients coming to me with websites that look fantastic from a visual point of view, but when you dive a little deeper you find there are some underlying issues that are keeping the website from excelling.

Even newly built websites can have foundational issues that need to be addressed before we can start driving traffic to the site, or looking to improve rankings.

Luckily, you're in the right place and our website & SEO inspection can help. We make sure the issues identified are fixed and everything is configured correctly so you have a strong foundation to support all of your marketing efforts.

Our Inspection Includes:

One-time cost of $500 for the initial inspection and report.

Goal Identification

Look at what’s going on with the website right now, your marketing goals for your website and what you'd like to achieve

Visual Inspection

Review the usability of the website — how easy is it to navigate, find information, or even understand what it is that you do

Technical Inspection

Review the HTML markup of the website — is it set up in a way that the search engines can understand and are there any barriers preventing the site from being crawled

Next Steps Roadmap

An actionable check list of key items that need to be addressed sooner than later, and others that can wait until your budget allows

More than an automated SEO assessment or audit of your website

Do I use proven automated website assessment and auditing tools? Yes, because they work, they give us good data and a baseline to work from. While that may be good enough for others, it’s not for me or my clients.

The visual and technical website inspection examines:

  • Ease of use
  • Readability
  • Responsiveness
  • Content
  • Social media links
  • Dummy data left behind
  • Sitemap.xml & robots.txt
  • Analytics tracking
  • Google Search Console integration
  • Heading tag structure
  • URL structure
  • Page Title & Meta Descriptions
  • Broken Links
  • Orphaned Pages
  • Site Speed Reports
  • and more!

I use my 25 years of knowledge in the website industry to make sure the website is built on a solid foundation which will help it perform well in the search results and with your website visitors.

Once we’ve reviewed the Next Steps Roadmap and we’ve identified a checklist of items that need to be addressed — from big items that need to be addressed right away to the small ones that you can get to when you have time — many of my clients hire me to do it because they’re busy running their business and driving revenue and they know their time is better spend doing that, than tinkering on their website.

If you're ready to get started, book a website inspection!

Frequently Asked Questions

No — once you receive the inspection report, we can work together to address any of the issues that have been identified.

A typical website & SEO inspection package takes around 1-2 weeks after payment has been made and I have access to your website, analytics, and search console.

Once we've completed the inspection and identified any issues, I can work with you to help resolve them and start driving more leads and sales to your website or you can tackle the changes yourself.

Yes, even brand new websites can have underlying issues that need to be addressed. Common issues I see with newly built websites involve issues with heading tags, url structure, indexing isn't enabled and even demo content left behind.

It's unlikely that you'll need to rebuild your entire website but that's not to say it can't happen. Typically we're able to work with what you already have and address any issues that we've found

Yes — I'll need admin-level access to your WordPress website to review the plugins installed, look at posts and pages on the site, and evaluate any technical issues.

Not at the moment. My area of expertise over the last 10 years has been in the WordPress ecosystem and it's the one I'm most comfortable with and the platform that gives us the most flexibility in fixing any issues found during the inspection.

I do not offer any guarantees as there are too many variables outside my control — such as how competitive your industry is and the quality of content currently on the website. However, I am confident that an inspection can help to identify any potential issues you may have and we can work together to resolve them.

No — all sales are final once the inspection has been started.
